Leicester this, Brighton that, players we've 'missed out' on the other. Why do Saints fans jump on the worried band waggon so quickly? Our club is in safe hands and business will be done when right for our club when the people involved believe it to be good a investment. Just because other teams are spilling millions on players and seem to be 'preparing' quicker than us, doesn't mean we have anything to worry about. I remember in the middle of last season, we had a poor run of games and a few results where we shouldn't have lost/drawn. Many people on here, including myself were worried about the credentials of Nigel Adkins and whether he was the man to get us out of league 1. But what did he do? I'm fairly confident they aren't sat back watching sky sports and seeing the breaking transfers come through, they'll be working behind the scenes. Signings will come when needed and if necessary. In Adkins we trust.
This. New articles every 5 minutes moaning is just stupid. Adkins and other agents have said most activity goes on in late July and August.
look people said at the end of last season when we where not signing anyone that the signing would come at the end of June/start of july. And we have signed no-one. How do you know they are working in the back ground where is the evidence. Everyone says you should get the players in at the start of the transfer window as they then have time to settle in. Look at what happened at the start of the 09/10 season we signed everyone late and so they where taking ages to settle in. We need to sign some players now/by the end of the week!!

The ones that are moaning and getting all hot and bothered about no signings are probably a spoilt only child and was used to getting everything they asked for. I'm fully confident that we will sign at least 2 players this summer that will slot straight in to the first team, as NA has said the evolution of the squad is an ongoing thing.
Look some bloke said the world was going to end at the beginning of June, AND it was on the telly..... Guess what? We're still here!
tell you what guys - if we signed 1 player in the next week would that fill our appetites for a while?
I remember many fans saying in January where were all the star signings we needed to get promotion. What happened? We signed one or two squad players to fill in gaps when injuries struck and we went on an amazing run and finished 5 points clear of Huddersfield despite them not losing a league game in 2011. We have a great squad currently and I'm sure we have one or a few youngsters capable of breaking through this season. Am I worried? No. Should the other teams in the league be worried? Yes. Worrying that they haven't got our squad and our infrastructure and our support.
Slightly different circumstances as we are in a better division and so need those better players. If we have stormed league 1 then maybe we would not need signings but we didnt so we need one or two quality player!!
Once Adkins had settled in we did storm League 1. Brighton were out of sight and Christmas and we nearly caught them. If we keep what we have then we have a number of players who would walk into any Championship team - Fonte, Lallana, Schneiderlin, Lambert, Chamberlain. All of them are more than good enough to play in the PL.
I just knew I would be brought into the argument as soon as we were talking about cartwheels and belly rolls. I'll have you know My belly rolls very well on it's own thank you.....It's stopping it that is the problem....... Now Can I go back to sleep?
