Do you mean Forest's first goal against us at The Valley? If so, he was nutmegged by a very skilful player. I wouldn't call that being at fault.
Why is nobody considering Morro? Very consistent committed player, the heart of our defense which has been the strongest part of our team.
I think that headed back pass against Brighton when CMS nipped in and scored may count against him with regards to PoTY
Surely that is cancelled out by the fact that he was at Millwall with the fans(and Waggy) cheering the lads on?
I'm seriously considering JJ. Around October there were loud shouts for him to be dropped (inc myself), too slow, not good enough etc. since then he has been a real steady eddy, but think he has actually been a brilliant captain when you look over the season. The emotion he shows for the club is something that I think is deserving of a reward.
Tell me you doidn't have your heart in your mouth when Kermo stepped up for that penalty yesterday. He wanted to prove to us that he is the one who doesn't wilt and believes in the club. Took it with aplomb and you could see how much it meant to him. A personal ghost laid properly. Still my PotY
For me it has to be Chris Solly, he has been superb all season against some great wingers! Hardly put a foot wrong and often does things that make me wonder how does them. Kermorgant, Morrison and Jackson are all a close second though, for commitment and determination.
Solly for me. Everytime I have seen Charlton (which is probably not as much as most on here unfortunately) he has been good. Done exactly what you would expect a right back to do, stopped crosses, pushed players wide, and even when they did cut inside has done the right thing and followed the runner. He never pushed to the ball leaving a hole. Even when at left back (where he clearly wasn't as comfortable) he was ok. I think he has been more defensive minded this season but as his inaugural season in the championship, who can blame him? As a defender you want him to be tight defensively and then anything extra he can offer upfront is an added bonus
Hamer or kermo for me, hamer had a bit of a wobbly spell but has been superb apart from that, kermo is just commited to everything, far more than he was last season and that is impressive, would be solly but he set himself a bar last season and he's only reached it not been outstanding for me, he's played really well but not as standout as irt was last year.
That's a bit hard. Somewhat different standard of winger in this division. Hamer's dip in form and tendency to turn on his teammates for real or perceived mistakes rules him out, though we are lucky to have him and he is young for a keeper. Should get even better. We all love Kermorgant but you cannot vote for someone who missed a large chunk of the season. Same applies to Wiggins. Jackson has scored some vital point-earning goals and inspired fight-backs. Whatever he does is usually Premiership class, but he does not do enough of anything for me. Long spells most matches when he is invisible. I love the way Cort plays to his strengths and minimises his weaknesses (slow and mediocre footwork). He has been a solid citizen. And Pritchard deserves the "Young Player" award despite being roughly the same age as my granny. He has had fewer years of professional grooming than most of our u-18s. Talk about "wear the shirt with pride"!
The POTY is the best player over 90 minutes week in week out- only one contender if that's how you decide. Size doesn't matter.
Jacko's making a late charge and may even pip Solly. Before Hughes got injured his midfield partner was Hollands who was scoring freely at that time, just as Jacko is now. Coincidence? I think not!
