I'm 45 but last year i was 44! Dad lifelong Rangers fan used to take when i was too young to remember the games and young Ellers got same treatment.
So this forum is full of old farts That might explain why the mood has been so depressing around here lately, with dementia kicking in and erasing memories of last 2 decades or so, and only remembering the "good old days" 39 now, showing some symptoms of early age dementia myself. When I was born, number one single in Finland was Rauli Badding Somerjoki, Fiilaten ja höyläten
Iam pleasantly surprised at most of your ages, I might come back! anyway I'll be an heinz variety in Feb
I didn't think people would go for this but as everyone else has bothered: 56 last week Born just off Shepherds Bush Green First season ticket at age 8 (1964 - we were rubbish, thanks Dad!) Continuous occupancy of Ellerslie Road ever since
57 - my generation! Eddie we need you back for those dog picks. Following your Blonde Snapper success, who do you fancy for the 2013 Derby? I guess this is the time to get on early with those 50/1 odds?
Well, that explains it...... and, you know bugger all! Just like all the pampered new kids in football, you only know football in the post-super-rich money era.......
I like this thread....good to know it's just not cyber warrior kids who know how to use a computer. BTW anyone heard from Peruvian lately since that Swans mod went on the rampage?
Happens not to show in Judo's case (as with most of the younger posters). Has written some very accurate and maturely balanced match reports imo. I knew he was young cos his dad comes on here sometimes but, as I said earlier, football is an 'in the moment' activity and forums an interactive pastime where age makes little difference in the quality of commentary. Being all about the next game, we all get so excited about getting a result, the past rarely matters. Week in, week out, it's all about the future isn't it?
Peru's been around. Knows what went on, knows he was well and truly exonerated, laughed at the irony of it all and (like the mod in question) moved on!
Brix do you mean "moved on" as in moved on ...not coming back, moved on or just "moved on" and still part of the wider R's community on here?
Thanks Brix, football is one of those games where age doesnt really matter tbh. All we do on here is post what we we see and how we see it. I knew someone would make a comment about age meaning I know nothing.
I've never ever seen you contribute anything worthwhile, judo seems sound to me and I suspect your misguided on this one
Peru's fine, appreciated our support and will be back here when he gets time. That's his pattern anyway.
Well said super-secret squirrel....won't have anything said against Judo, the Olympic torch-bearing hero
Yeah, but it's just Yappy mate. People think he's a bit of a wum - tried to defend his corner once but here he's leaving his detractors in no doubt!
Yeah, but there were a few posts caslling for him to take his position up again on that board. Dont know if anything came of it ? Probably another old codger anyway !!
If he does end up back as a mod I doubt he'll be making the same mistake again now that the IP situation has been explained to him. No actual harm was done or sensitive information revealed, and an apology has apparently been sent to Peruvian. If the Swansea fans knowing the situation still want him as their mod and the site admin agrees then it's their decision, and the rest of the site should respect that. The team we've had the most trouble with on here has as a mod the only person we've ever banned from our forum*, because that's who they chose as a mod. Last I heard though the Swansea ex-mod wasn't even using the site at the moment, so it won't matter if their fans want him as a mod or not. *the likes of jaytab excluded, because they're reported for a permanent site wide ban the second they're seen after reregistering. And on topic, 29, which with the life expectancy of a northerner living in Scotland is about 50 in your southern years.
