Taking a few of the more realistic rumors in to consideration, this would be my team post transfer window. I know MH is unlikely to change from 4-4-2, but this is my team...

    -------------------Kenny------------------
    Young---Onouha----Ferdinand----Taiwo
    -----------Diakite------Barton------------
    Pienaar---------Taarabt----------Moses
    --------------------HH-----------------------

subs: Bassong, Traore, Buz, Dery, SWP, Mackie, Bothroyd

Hopefully one of the striker rumours will come to fruition and HH can get a rest from time to time!

Really like that team.....I would possibly put Traore on the left of the 3 and put Moses on the right?

Good team Coldharbour, that should do the trick <ok> :)

I have a slightly different myself:

    -----------------Kenny-----------------
    Young----Samba-------Onouha----Taiwo
    -----------Barton-----Diakite-----------
    SWP------------Taarabt-----------Moses
    -----------------Tevez-----------------

subs: Cerny, Ferdinand, Traore, Buz, Mackie, Helguson and Bothroyd.

With those we'll murder the league :smiley-finger007:

So maybe that pie in the sky is only head height - with an outside chance of a bite?!

We need a decent striker. No disrespect to Helgusson (who'd be my player of the season if it ended now*) but we simply have to have someone with pace and guile that can get on the end of some clever balls from Taarabt.

(*To be frank, he's not up against much competition)

I would definitely put a striker top of the list. But whoever we get in might be big a let down as Betty, DJ and Macheda. Looks like we might still have to rely on HH for goals (unless Adel can start firing again).

I think there is some kind of strikers curse at QPR. When did we last have a 20+ goal scorer?

We're only signing players born in Africa during the January window.

Others, including South Americans, are scheduled for the summer.

Don't think MH will change suddenly 4-4-2 into a 4-2-3-1 in favor of Taarabt

I am going to go for

    -----------------Kenny-----------------
    Young----Samba-------Onouha----Taiwo
    -----------Barton-----Diakite-----------
    Pienaar------------Taarabt-----------Moses
    -----------------Cisse-----------------

Bench: Cerny, HH, SWP, Buzz, Bassong, Mackie, Ferdinand

Cisse instead of HH because he would be perfect too get onto Taarabts passes (and i dont think we'll be getting Tevez ;P)

Nor do I...but I think most people think that 4-2-3-1 suits Adel best. Maybe MH will play him off the striker in a fluid 4-4-1-1?

    We could play 4-1-3-2 with:
    Kenny

    Onouha Samba Ferdinand Taiwo

    Diakite

    Barton Taarabt Moses

    HH Rodielga

Mine is a 4-4-2 with attacking wide men and Adel dropping off the striker. It's just a matter of perception ;)

Think that's about as close as I've seen. Moses would be great but not even the optimist in me see him arriving before the summer.

Ok, rose tinted glasses off, these three are the ones we will get before the deadline IMHO:
    Samba Diakite
    Chris Samba
One of either Rodallega or Cisse.

    Kenny
    Onouha-Samba-Ferdinand-Taiwo
    SWP-Barton-Diakite-Taarabt(Traore)
    Rodallega(Cisse)-HH

It is the fluid bit that we struggle with. We lost our fluidity after about 10 or 15 games of last season and have not re-discovered it. The number of times that one of our defenders or midfielders has the ball and no one is running into space is frightening. If Hughes can get them to re-discover this we will start to look threatening again.

Good to see you back and banging out the posts again mate.
