It's my birthday on Friday. Not telling you how many but if you cut my head off at the neck you would see lots of concentric circles. Not getting my old age pension just yet. Anyway, having just renewed my season ticket I got a thank you email from the club. In it they noted my birthday on the same day as the Burton game and offered me and a guest complimentary upgrades to the Sytner Lounge and grandstand seats for the game, including free programmes (£3 saved each - result!!!). I was delighted to accept and Barry Tiger and I will have new vantage point this week. I know it is a bit quieter there than the Ninian Stand so have asked BT to tone it down a bit and moderate his language. My point is that this was totally unexpected and the club didn't have to do it. It probably costs them nothing (other than 2 programmes and there are always loads of spares in hospitality each week) and they may well try to onsell our usual seats. However what a great pr exercise and another example of the club trying hard to work positively with it's supporters. Just need a good win, 4 or 5 - nil, will do to complete the day. A chorus of Happy Birthday BfB from the Canton End wouldn't go amiss either. I will do the Ayatollah if asked.
I didn't expect the likes of you behind me for the Burton game. I must remember that offer from City to you - I'll expect mine when we play Man City next season..........
Fair play that's a nice gesture by the club, when I renewed mine they told me I can still download the Beatles online.
Would love to look at your ring BFB pal, I recall that you were sixty for about five years chum, the rings will out the truth! Bollocks are active!
