To be honest I cannot be bothered to write a match report, I came home satisfied rather than happy. All the talk from Shrewsbury before the match was of how 'they would attack us', though lining up with 1 striker and a packed midfield proved otherwise. like other teams before them (with the exception of Crawley) they would have been happy going home with a 0 - 0 result. Posh started well enough, Taylor hitting the woodwork early on but after that it quickly fizzled out to a dour midfield scrap. 60% of Posh's passes were sideways or backwards. Bobby Olejnik made one save all match, I cannot recall Weale having to make any. The 'mighty Posh attack' managed a paltry single shot on target and that was NML's goal, at least that was worth waiting for. It says much about the performance when a substitute who barely plays for 30 minutes is named Man of the Match. Darragh will be mightily disappointed - promising to reduce the JPT Cup price to £4 if the crowd exceeded 8,000 - less than 6,500 Home fans made the effort, shame on you Posh fans. The positives? Another clean sheet, another 3 points, but pretty to watch it ain't.
Sorry OPP ..... I am ashamed I have worked all day but maybe that was more exciting than the match but the sounds of it Who was your man of the match ?
Bostwick and Zak were rarely troubled, 4 clean sheets on the bounce is so unlike the Posh of a couple of years ago. If any of your patients suffer from insomnia send them along to London Road Minxy - it is probably cheaper than Nitrazepam
