lack of possession is the key ....

50 /50 and could be a reasonable chance either side might score that is 45 mins play each

51/49 = is they get 46 MINS we get 44 mins IT DOES NOT SEEM A LOT, BUT but but

57 / 43 IS A MASSIVE ONE SIXTH OF THE GAME 52 MINS TO OUR 38 MINS........this is the problem, and where does the ball tend to be when you are in possession? usually heading for the goal, so basically yesterday..........simples...................

off for 2 weeks very soon, hope when I get back we have 17 points

John you might be the maddest person I have ever had the privilege to read on this forum. But this time you're correct poseession is our weak point. Need that midfielder to take the game by the scruff of the neck and push the ball around instead of as Redprint puts it a bunch of girls <laugh>

There were times during the game when the stats showed possession as 65-35 in favour of Bolton.
Nowhere near good enough even if the stats are not always accurate. Eg at half time we were winning 2-1 yet we had only one shot on goal recorded

Judging by the brief highlights on the Football League show, our midfield was not existant for Boltons 2nd and 3rd goals

Agree with Cidered look at Chelsea last year in the champions league semi final and final.

Also there is that little matter of ....... you need a good team to win or draw.<wah>

Still JG2 is right without the ball you wont win matches and your midfield is non existant teams are walking through the middle of the park, very similar to Rovers a while ago, this places huge pressure on the defence and unfortunately you are leaking goals far to easily.

When sorted as I mentioned you will rise well above the relegation slots. snoozer_08.gif
