Its my first post on not606, after being on 606 for a while. It's a bit long, but I needed to get my opinions out after an awful match at Stanley.

    Positives:
    1. Rendell was exceptional and took some really good touches and finished off his only clear cut chance of the match
    2. Marvin Mccoy showed some good attacking skills, but needs to work on his strength
    3. Nikki Bull was solid as ever
    4. Beavon linked up with Rendell fairly well in the second half, and was the only really creative player on the pitch

    Negatives:
    1. Defending was haphazard, and non existent at times. This was mostly Alan Bennet's fault for me, but Winfield and Foster had poor defensive performances as well
    2. Nobody commanded the area for set pieces, something Johson and Westwood do well
    3. Danny Foster, the most right footed player I think ever to play for Wycombe, was at left side. I thought Straker was supposed to solve this problem, but he was only on the bench
    4. No-one was incisive from the midfield, and more times than not the ball fell to ainsworth to provide a poor cross instead of actually playing the ball into Rendell's feet
    5. Ben Strevens was completely out of position, and was therefore clueless on the ball
    6. Beavon was bought off, even though he was better than most of the team.
    7. Montrose has been dropped completely despite being one our most solid players at the beginning of the season, and being better than lewis and donnelly imo

I guess Beavon was brought off. Can't have any corruption.

Agreed apart from the last point. Lewis is definitely a better player than Montrose. He didn't have a good game yesterday but it is absolutely no coincidence that our good run of form came when we signed him.

thats the whole point of having a squad ,so when players are injured or out of form they can be replaced.
