Our 3rd trip there in 5 years. £41 quid, lunchtime kick off. Yours was a minnow's 'Cinderella you shall go to the ball' game. Capisce?
December 2004, two weeks before Christmas - 8,000 to Sheffield Wednesday for a third-division game on a Tuesday night We win. Now bugger off, you git
Yeah, but most probably went for the comedy value of seeing your lot play. How's life in the second division by the way?
We have 2 areas available for away fans Lower tier of 1600 and upper tier of 1400 Clubs that don't think they will sell out the top tier generally only take the lower tier as tickets are sold to the away club in blocks ( 3 in each tier ) but clubs can have the bottom 3 and 1 block in the upper tier if they choose to do so but have to buy the whole block Seat prices for away fans are always the same price as they are for home fans in the south stand, although a hefty discount for season card holders The supporters 2 blocks to the right and 3 to the left of the away fans as you look at the pitch are allowed to stand but the stewards are finding it hard to stop the standing spreading to the next blocks beyond the permitted ones hence the sight of stewards trying to get supporters seated I thought the hull support was excellent throughout,as good as any who came last season, but no doubt helped by the fact you were playing us off the park, especially first half. The Etihad can be a bit flat at times,in common with many clubs, when the play is poor and the opposition isn't one of the "big" teams. Supporters have short memories and many if the younger ones won't know what it's like to get a chasing at the likes of boothferry park or fratton Pk and go away to Anfield knowing a hiding was on the cards but hoped it wasn't a humiliation Off to Stoke on Saturday, another club the younger ones turn their noses up at Not sure if its new fans or young people who irritate me the most In many ways I preferred it when we were ****,at least it was honest ****
It isn't illegal technically. It is against ground regulations. But you can't be arrested for standing up. You have never seen anyone fined for standing up at a football match for the reason it is not illegal. You can of course be ejected. And then end up in court if you protest too much and give the police an excuse to get involved.
Rubbish? **** I must have dreamt it all last two visits I went to Anfield and Old Trafford and saw all those people getting ejected by the stewards for refusing to sit down. They must have lied to me when I spoke to them outside aftet about their mysterious absence in the ground. I know one even got nicked at Anfield and got banned from attending games in Merseyside.
