Sean Goss (Shrewsbury Town) is shown the yellow card for a bad foul on John Marquis. 90 minutes.

A good win and let's give Jackett praise for the timely substitutions. Playing two attackers, whatever next, or was Marquis playing in the position that Pitman was played in.

PS: I shall shed crocodile tears if Exeter triumph on Tuesday as promotion is the goal, and we are behind on games played and finding room for another midweek match is a bit of a concern as I fully expect Pompey to progress in the FA Cup.

So that is four visits to Wembley, then, in the next few months.

Not satisfied with two goals in open play today Ides you now expect us to beat Arsenal!! Well I won't complain if it happens.

the congested fixture list does help in keeping a large squad involved. Looking at our bench, with the exception of Whatmough, returning from long term injury, all have had at least a spattering of 1st team football and some a lot more than that.

I would like to see us beat Exeter. While promotion is the main objective maintaining a winning habit, and giving the majority of the squad regular involvement cannot be underestimated.

At this stage we are very lucky to have so few injuries. However, they will come - and yellow cards must be mounting or some players.

    A good result today!

Beating Arsenal could be a tongue in cheek comment, but oñe of the underlings from outside the PL will feature in the qf. Unlikely to be us. Possibly Brum in the East v West Midlands Clash.

Thanks for mentioning scoring from "open play," which is good.

7 more wins + 2 or three draws would give us 75 points, which should be enough for the play-offs. No team will get anywhere near 88 points due to two less matches, and the very nature of the división this year.

,I feel Sunderland are the team most likely to put together an extended winning run to secure, and they have just started it, not because they are any better than anyone else. It is a sixth sense. The rest of us are blowing hot and cold. We just need to win matches away as in recent weeks.
