Do we really want these 3 Pompey players now? They didn't want to join us last week, so why should we still go for them. Admittedly they would be an excellent addition to our squad, but surely you want to sign players that WANT to join you, as opposed to HAVING to join you, to get a wage. Personally, the 3 of them can f@@k off!
I never will be interested in getting a player who makes it clear they don't want to join us. What good is it to have someone in the team who hates being here?
Just because they said they didn't want to leave Pompey and then asked for daft wages doesn't mean they wouldn't want to come to us, players talk drivel all the time. Think of Norris and his 'dedicated' to Ipswich although 'already signed elsewhere' seemed more appropriate. They clearly are in a difficult position with their club going down the pan and I'm surprised they didn't want out but maybe as a case of self preservation decided to pander to the fans with their loyalty to the club... Which as we know is something that can be easily switched on and off these days
