Pompey's game away to Chesterfield in March will now be televised and has been moved from Saturday to Monday! I was thinking of going to this game, but alas that won't happen now but oh well!
Have to feel for the fans who bought train tickets for the Saturday game - non-refundable. One fan has lost £72. Sky don't give a toss though.
That's because train travel in this country is a joke, an unfunny, ridiculously expensive joke. I bet no other country in the G20 pays as much as we do for shoddy, unreliable, overcrowded, slow train travel. Though I think if you buy tickets in advance, you can certainly change the date, I'm not sure if you can change the destination as well? If so, that fan could change the date and journey and take a weekend trip to.... somewhere with his or her partner. At least then it wouldn't be completely wasted.
I think you can get refunds for train tickets that are prebooked, but they charge a "handling" fee (more like hand it over buddy) of £10.
