Swindon North result was 10% rise in Labour vote - that is in the South of England remember. Good sign.

Labour confident of taking Ipswich from the Tories. The Tory candidate in that seat wrote their manifesto. <laugh>

Philip Hollobone (great name) the re-elected Tory in Kettering, did a deal with UKIP to hold on to his seat with a reduced majority. Swing to Labour of 11%. You're screwed, Theresa.

Swing of 2.6% - Labour up 11%. Sorry to put a slight dampener on that.

OK, fair enough! I've just got in from an alcohol-fuelled band practice, so nothing I post for the duration of the night should be taken seriously.

Did he do a deal or did UKIP just decide not to stand? Did he have a part in it?

UKIP stood down in Norman Lamb's (Lib Dem) seat supporting him and he thanked them for that.

As you may know Norman Lamb is one of my favs. Should have been Lib Dem leader not Farron.
