The peaceful folks wandering the halls of Congress...and planning to kidnap and torture 'all the Democrats (and some Republicans)' before instituting martial law and giving a blanket pardon to anyone that kills Democrats.
Did you read what I wrote? The government upheld the enforced vaccine mandates that those companies put in place. It’s scandalous. So yes, the government bears a huge responsibility. For those injured permanently, and those now unable to have children, it’s utterly horrific.
Fox was his mouthpiece, sure. But CNN, MSNBC and a few others are Biden/Dems mouthpieces. This is what you and a few others on here miss completely. There are agendas in all of the media outlets. But you conveniently ignore left wing agendas, whilst acting outraged at the right wing agendas.
This has got to be you trolling ? Especially the last part. Surely. You can’t be saying that with a straight face when you do the exact opposite in every single post
I don't need to accept any news network opinion to know that Trump is a wannabe authoritarian, racist, misogynist, white supremacist and shocking liar as it is in every word he posts or says and you have to be pretty blind not to see it IMO. All his chickens will come home to roost soon with the first of many indictments and not a minute too soon.
I have been kind of trying to keep away from this, but I want to throw my tuppence worth in here because there's been some frankly bonkers stuff being written around the place, not least on here (and please, I'm not having a go at anybody here on this thread specifically, I'm really not). I mean, which is it guys? We've had the BBC being some Tory Mouthpiece, and on the same thread been told that it's some kind of safe-space for sandal wearing Guardianistas. Which is it? I mean, it can't be both. Here's a clue. It's neither. But, as always, it seems nuance and the grey gets lost in lots of shouting. The BBC as a whole is generally a force for good. It's still (despite being defunded massively by the current government, as referenced above, which would seem a little weird if it's a Tory mouthpiece) one of the best programme makers around, and I mean that in terms of drama, documentaries etc. It's still one of the greatest supporters of music, both new and old. It employs thousands of really, really bright and good people, and there are many thousands not employed by them directly, that rely on the BBC for their work too. I have many close friends that work at and for the BBC, and it delights and frustrates them in equal measure. Like any large corporation though, it cocks up. And when it does cock up, it tends to do it quite badly, and quite publicly. Where it really, really struggles is that it obsessively tries to be at least *seen* as unbiased. I mean, obsessive about it to the point where, particularly at a management level, they get themselves in a complete muddle about things, which is pretty much what has happened here (despite an awful lot of people wanting to dress it up into something it isn't). They cocked up and misjudged things, doubled down and made it worse. That happens. We've all seen it happen in regular life enough times. You can try and present as unbiased as a corporation, but the trouble is that all individuals ultimately have bias. Annoyingly, what it has clouded over are the actual real issues, that aren't to do with the BBC or Gary Lineker ffs (though I personally think he's a very good presenter, that's by-the-by), but are to do with immigration policies, and the recent attempts to stop the small boats coming in. Again, it's an issue with nuances. The recent proposed solution is a nonsense, but on the flip side the current position with immigration (legal and illegal), and equally importantly integration, isn't a sustainable one as it is right now. I don't know what the answers are to that, because I'm no expert, and there's far too much detail to really form a truly pertinent judgement unless it's either something you study or work in. Anything else is informed/ill-informed opinion. I hope the Beeb sort out their current foot/mouth conundrum, I really do, and with the least damage caused to it as possible. It doesn't need to be damaging itself when there are far too many people wanting to do it to them. It's all incredibly unnecessary, and such a shame to see a great broadcaster and British institution (that is respected around the world, and we don't have too many of those left) self-immolating in such a daft way. But please, can we at least try not to turn it into something it really likely isn't?
No, not at all. I am much more able to see both sides than most on here. It’s just most on here people are very far left without realising it. I hate all politicians, left and right, equally, and try and base decisions from purely policies which I think will make life better for me & society. I don’t care at all about bi-partisan stuff. When you hate Biden as much as you hate Trump, it’s very easy to see huge spin from both sides.
Great post. I think the BBC is as close to an impartial media organisation that’s possible, in general
