  1. Just reading the chronicle there, and it's reinforced my belief that just because we won't reach Europe this season, doesn't mean finishing 7th would mean nothing.

Apparently, for every place you go up, you get an extra 800k put into your club, and finishing 7th gets you 11 million.

So if we really push forward and manage to finish 8/9th, we'll get about an extra 10 mil pumped into the club, and more if we really try to get that 7th spot.

Is this not a reason to think we should be pushing up that table? If the likes of Barton want to stay because we have money to spend, ambition and good prospects, then we really should be pushing for the cash!

Isn't money a good reason to be pushing up that table?

Who says we won't be pushing ourselves up the table until the end?

I don't expect anyone to just kick back and relax once we've reached 'safety'.

Pardew said today that we're aiming as high as we can, don't want to end the season on a low. But yes finishing money is another good incentive.

its the aim of every club to push as high as they possibly can
we are no different we just have to remain grounded and not get carried away first

IMO we have to keep pushing untill the end. Finishing 7/8/9 will attract much better players than 13/14
