£89 million ...but is that the real cost? . .... how much gets added to this for commissions etc
1 thing is sure in 4 years he has gone they have probably paid out more in wages to "other" than he would have got .... buying him back well it stops any other PREM CLUB GETTING HIM.. and screwing up Jose chances of a successful couple of years at UTD

    The money is irrelevant.

They will get the money back in shirts sales inside 6 months.. its a corporate world now.

Its better value than fellaini. Sure he is nice to his mum and has a bit of skill but there appears to be something wrong with his feet.

Pogba and Ibra and the special one all at the same club. The marketing bods will think the walking fashion shows and ego for the media is coming cheap.

    I am a calculator .... lol .......
    .1.2M @ £72 is £86.4m

    ....vat = £14.4m
    ....cost is £3.6m
    ....pp is £4m
    ...miscellaneous £
(£19m from £86.4m = an uncalculatable figure as different countries have different costings and therefore profitability varies you may have 500,000 Chinese wanting one but they may only pay £15 - 20?.... )
    impossible to answer question ....

Its a global world now-I was walking along the sea front on the weekend and a kid around 9 was walking towards me in a full Dortmund kit, with his quite clearly British parents. A little later, along comes a kid in a Barcelona kit.

Its usually West Brom and Villa shirts you see in the summer here but at least that's where they are from and its British kits. Cant see why kids would want to follow other than a British team but that's the Champions league for you showing what pulling power it has.

I coach kids and that is they way of the world.

At a Bristol coaching school the coaches will frequently use I pads to demonstrate skills using you tube clips. Those clips of course highlight the likes of Ibra, Messi, Neymar and Ronaldo. Even coaches associated with BCFC do this. The kids are being brainwashed almost.

The Champions league and its media and its backing from sporting global brands is all powerful.

Man Utd need the brands of Ibra and Pogba to keep up and attract the lucre associated with the column inches they create.

I consider that it is preferable to brainwash our kids into playing with wit and skill, self expression and total mastery of a football than it is to teach them to hoof the bloody thing 50 yards up the field onto the head of some brainless neanderthal telegraph pole so he can give the ball straight back to a grateful and grinning opposition

I'm sure when we can produce kids that can do what those players do, AND win tournaments doing it, then we will get our education and inspiration from the best of British.
