Massive respect to any Town fans who are prepared to invest the time and money to follow us away. Score?Who cares?!
I think we'll sneak this one - we've played relatively well of late (bar Burton) without getting any luck (although you do make your own luck). Celina and Carayol (if fit) will play, and will cause them problems. With both Bristol City and Sheff Utd both due to lose, we'll be back to 6 points off of 6th - and our season not quite yet over. STICK WITH THE FAITH!
I wish I could share your positivity, Stretchy. Usually when we come up against an in-form side above us in the table, we lose. We have a wretched record at Deepdale (one win in the last 12 up there, Jesus wept) and, despite performances picking up a bit for us lately, we are a side sliding down the table while Preston are on the ascendancy. I'd go as far to suggest Preston are dark horses for sixth place. My only hope is that, despite their recent cracking form as the chap above rightly points out, they have drawn the most games in this division (almost half their matches, in fact) and McCarthy is often good value for an away draw off the back of a loss. Nevertheless, three draws on the spin for Preston is not overly troublesome reading, just ignore the fact those recent draws have come against credible opposition in Wolves, Villa, and Brentford!
Not sure I really care anymore.. I'll go for a 0-0.. mainly as we'd struggle to score in a brothel at the minute.
2-0 PNE for me. They look very backable at 8/11 so I'm going to put my ££££ where mouth is. Re us - it's impossible to compete with said budget PLUS your ball playing creative players all being crocked - Huws / Bishop / Dozzell / McGoldrick - Bar Celina, these 4 are imperative to be fit. A full season with them 4 fit........ jesus. We'd have a chance. Surely as a side hunting top 2 / top 6 / trying to stay up, H fixture vs a mid table side who - probably after the Norwich game are keen for the season to end. Must be very hard for management to fully motivate what he has.
I understand we have injuries but this is Preston we're talking about who apparently have a smaller budget than we do. It's hard for us to compete when the players we have don't fit the style the manager wants us to play
Micks ‘style’ is stopping the other team playing rather than trying to play ourselves. I’ve pretty much lost interest.......I think if he stays I’ll be done.
I'm gonna sound mental here, but our season is not over, not yet anyway. We won't lose today, that's a given and I genuinely feel we'll win this one, as we seem to be better away from the bitterness of portman road. PNE are a tough physical team like us, which I think will suit us to a tee. If we win And Cardiff do Bristol then we'll still only be 6 points away, with city still to play. Right ...time to put the straight jacket back on lol
