Plymouth Argyle's administrator has said the club is close to a sale after he agreed terms with the preferred bidder, the BBC reports. Brendan Guilfoyle said he is continuing to iron out details with representatives for the Gibraltar-based Irish consortium. He said: "We had a meeting yesterday and the terms of the sale have been agreed. "We're hopefully moving rapidly from the exclusivity agreement into a contract to purchase the club." He added: "The terms are agreed and the lawyers will be working on the contract." The deadline for a further exclusivity payment from the group passed yesterday, and Guilfoyle confirmed that was met. The administrator also confirmed that the deal did not involve any previous members of the board. "We've asked repeatedly if previous interests are involved, and we've been assured not," he said. Plymouth went deducted 10 points in March after entering administration, before being relegated to League Two.
