Big thanks to SL/DM for today's fabulous signing, finally we appear to have learned not to wait until Jan 31st which is just as well with our fixtures this month. I am already looking forward to Saturday a lot more than I was 24 hours ago.

Now, if it is at all possible, can we be greedy and see if we can get another one in before 5pm tomorrow as this would really galvanise AG and hopefully, really get the Gate rocking.

    TIA....!

Getting anything out of Saturday, even with Liam Kelly available is a BIG ask

Nice to see the positivity returning but as the voice of reason I would like to throw in that we are not there yet. Yes we have a new signing with others to come but how many times in the past have we leapt for joy on a particular signing only to see our raised hopes dashed on the pitch.

I also want to see many others disappearing down the road to anywhere so that Derek can achieve the long awaited reduction in players and their money sapping salaries. We don't players that have an ego that doesn't include full commitment to the task at hand but younger forward thinking footballers who see us as a place where they can build their reputation. If they can prove their worth at Bristol City and an offer to move on comes their way then so be it and the best of luck to them.

It would also be a plus if they came without money grabbing agents constantly nipping at their heels urging them to move at any cost as many times as it takes to get their portion of any monies involved.

The job is far from done and all I have left to say is keep up the good work Derek, and if the new mix works well then our tide will turn.

Bitter experience has taught me not to get too excited by new signings - especially ones I haven't heard of before, but it's also always nice to see fresh activity and hopefully this, along with another one or two signings, can make the difference. At this stage though if I were offered finishing in 21st I'd bite their hand off.

Mike, it must be a bit like chicken and egg at the moment.

He can't sell or move on anyone until we get a replacement here and signed. So until for instance a big centre half arrives, no-one is going anywhere because otherwise we end up without enough to field a team if we get injuries or suspensions.

One in yesterday and maybe another one by Monday. Then we should see the outward bounders.
