I did think you weren’t interested in stats DT. But anyway... We’re not talking about the financial performance, we were crap when we spent all the money we wasted - we’re talking about the performance level over this season. And it has been going downhill I’m afraid. Harry took us up. Warnock took us up. But they were let go. Decision were made that had to be made.

I do agree that it is a tight championship and a few wins can change your league position very quickly. However, we aren’t doing that. We don’t have the wins. We don’t score goals... and we don’t have the points. And the teams around us seem to be getting points, some with wins - while we seem to celebrate a draw!

Along with that... coaching team selections are baffling. Coaching hasn’t improved our players - in fact quite the opposite. Team tactics have been bizarre - and I’ve heard that from fans and commentators alike. I’m sorry to say that Holloway isn’t the standard that we need. However, as I have said, I see no choice but to give him to the end of the season. Meanwhile we have to identify the right coach to move us forward. We do have some decent players. We need the right coach to get the best out of them and improve them. I think recently, our scouts do seem to have identified some good/promising players and brought them in (Scowen, Freeman, Bright are a few that spring to mind) - we need to turn these promising players into top level championship players.

Our current squad seems to me made up now of players who want to improve their performances to me
What you are talking about is that you don't feel that IH is doing a good enough job.
But to me he is. I would believe that IH has brought these players in with SLF after all things considered
Like me you are just a fan without any influence
My use of stats whether they are 100% accurate were posted just to show that performance wise he is on course to survive in this division by whatever margin. You and a few others want him out and are suggested to other fans that we need a new face.

That is certain to happen one day but i hope not yet because the club has made some very poor appointments. I feel that we need to see this thing through and generate a stable environment ... at least that will be a first for us in recent times.

I also continually question the views of some posters on here that think change is a good thing without fully understanding exactly what the state of the club is in following a dreadful period of major cock ups

I add that the same old posters need to look at themselves and admit that the pattern of their posts are circular in terms of jumping on the backs of any negativity. I fully get that as I was a Harry hater.

Because things are baffling doesn't mean its all wrong it may just be another reason

The essence of what being a QPR fan of course has to be assessed week by week because of how our club has failed in recent history but the truth is many got carried away including me when we were flying. That is not where we are now and many know in their hearts that exactly where we deserve to be. If that is accepted then to me it's a true grounding to rebuild something a lot better.

Realistically, given our financial situation, who do we actually feel would take on the job? It would have to be someone from the lower divisions trying to make a name for himself and looked what happened last time with that. He would also need to be a bit pro QPR or he will totally (everyone will partially) be taking the job for his own gain, ie the wrong reasons. Has to be Wild Thing and he is no more guaranteed than IH to keep us above about 16th which is where I feel we'll finish this season.

Maybe not Nines. Sorry for that. Your post mentioned JFH and when he was sacked, and that reminded me that I have seen stats showing him, Ramsey, Redknapp even Hughes maybe with better result records than Ollie. Weren't we about 17th when JFH was sacked? In defense of Ollie they had better players and bigger budgets, I see signs of progress in the development of young players, some good performances, and at the back. As I said 17th is about what I and I think many expected this season. I want us to win the League but we probably need a magician of a Manager to do that even next season.

Yes Ossie and 6 points off the play off places. For anyone saying that it was us the fans who had unrealistic expectations it wasn't. It was the club, Sir Les said himself that he bought Holloway in to get us up to in and around the play off positions. JFH's remit was initially stability but then that got upgraded to promotion or at least a shot at it. When that went tits up Holloway's remit was downgraded to just keep us up.

Here was the league table following the 1-1 draw with Forest ( It's difficult to find a league table following a specific game or date )

Who Oslo? Every time we see a young promising player he gets dropped. Only reason most have got games is due to injuries. Hollow loans most out.

    Who would that be then

Manning ? His form went right off you can’t pick in the first 11 imo
Plus we are in severe danger of going down with 20 games left in severe winter conditions!

Shodipo looked pretty good before he got loaned out, in my opinion.
Not the finished article of course but I thought he had something a good manager could work with.

Yes, I would like to see Shodipo given a chance now that he is back from injury. Do I recall his attitude or work rate being questioned by Holloway?

To be honest mate, I’ve almost forgotten what the lad looks like it’s been so long.

Furlong is another....I know some don’t rate him but I think he has a future....don’t think our manager agrees.

He’s the closest to a right wing back we’ve got.

Bewildering, but I suppose we are not at training etc.

Sorry to question you 9's but wasn't it Ramsay who had his objective upgraded from stability to promotion chasing?

Every time I read this thread title I think Bob is asking for us to re-sign Holloway.

He might have a chance of getting it rightish with an 8 year contract.

Don't apologise for questioning me Frome, everything is up for debate, but I think you are right. It was Ramsay. The last few seasons have become much of a muchness and I sometimes get confused.
