Hello boys and girls (assuming we have one more girl on board other than Beth)

Ive had a few pc issues with a virus. Would urgently suggest that as soon as you read this you run any security checks. Ive just managed to get my laptop working after 3 days however my main pc is a slightly tougher cookie and Ive had to get some additional software (spyware doctor) to hopefully get rid of it.

Apologies and sincerely hope that this virus hasnt affected anybody. Im not an IT person so apologies if this appears a daft message.

to be honest, not sure where the virus came from so just want anyone that reads this to do a run security scan. I have been working from home on my main frame computer which holds a lot of work for a client so I am hoping that it hasn't got passwords etc. would love to meet the git that managed to knockout my microsoft secruity stuff, even more irritating is that I had run a full scan the previous day. Currently using an unaffected laptop.

quick update - this virus suggests that your PC is already infested as asks for payments details and wants you to run scans. Would suggest that if this occurs close down. Spy Doctor can remove however this is what you are prompted with:

    SECURITY SPHERE SYSTEM SCAM

This is attached to spam mail and some how gets released. Im not an expert.....just a pi55ed off person who's been affected

Dont browse with IE, use Chromium (not chrome) or Firefox and use adblock, then you dont get any problems unless you manually download something bad and run it yourself.

Never ever download the various video files that are suggested you need to watch football streams, they can easily be removed with add/remove programmes but they will stop windows media player, you tube etc and flash sites from working
