He's been linked to Arsenal, be mad to go there with his injury, he's not last two games the way they knack their players I think we would be a very good choice for him, given what our physios (since Sam arrived) have done for the likes of Rodwell, Jones, and Kirchhoff. I doubt we're even interested tbh, as I've seen absolutely nothing substantial linking us with him anywhere. Shame, as I think him and one would make an incredible CB pairing. I think Sam envisages Kone-Kaboul as our first choice, but it's risky given Kaboul's injry record throughout pretty much his entire career - our physios are good but I wouldn't be betting our entire season on them being miracle workers. We need another top quality centre half imo, and Subotic would be perfect.
I think we'd get more fitness out of him too. Big Sam monitors everything with his sports science approach and in the short time he's been here he's kept plenty of injury prone players fit. He's clearly using the data to taylor programs around injuries. The reason I think we're not in for him is simply because we're looking at priority positions first. and CB is well down the list. Think we'll move for one but later in the window. I think Subotic's agent used us to announce he want's premier league football.
