Middlesbrough FC want to make Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic their next signing after completing a deal for ex-Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes. The Serbian defender has been in talks withBoro's top brass about a possible summer move to the Premier League. Boro have already strengthened their defensive ranks with the addition of out-of-contract Sporting Gijon centre-back Bernardo Espinosa, but see the 27-year-old Serbian as an ideal new recruit. Subotic announced last month that he will leave Dortmund this summer, and is understood to have already looked around the Riverside ahead of a possible £8m move. Weve been linked with him for ages now. What the fecks going on, of all the b@stard sh!t feck clubs, please not Boro!!
We've been linked with him but that's as much as I've seen, it's not the most important area for us to strengthen. If his agent is shopping him around it'll come down to cash tbh.
With Kabouls injury record and i dont even have to say anything about Oshea I think a high quality CB is a must this summer. I was very hopeful about this lad. The Boro fans are coming in their pants after the Valdes signing. Facebooks overloaded with the fickle tw@ts now this news has just broke!
I really can't see him going to Boro if there are better offers. For me, Kaboul's injury record is a thing of the past unless I'm proved wrong. As with the right full back I think Allardyce will have options for centre backs.
I hope your right about Kaboul mate cause hes immense once he gets a good run of games under his belt. His injury record for Spurs was pretty bad aswell though.
Linked with him for ages speaks volumes, vicious optimistic twitter rumours more like Ambitious player not interested in another relegation battle
Subotic?!? I know he's lost his way a little bit but I wouldn't have pegged him at either Boro or yourselves....! If he comes to the PL he still has enough of a rep to get into a top club.
I'm one of those weird people who want the north east teams to do well. I'd be delighted for them if they pulled this off. Think Valdez is good for them. Not the best keeper but their rep shoots back up.
I'm definitely not comfortable with this but it's all paper talk and I'm pretty sure if we really want him, he wants to be here then a deal will be done. Obviously high profile clubs may be more attractive but Boro' but I recall they have made high profile signings in the past - it's very frustrating we've not made any additions yet.
Read somewhere that as he hasn't played for Serbia since 2013, he may not get a work permit to move to the UK. Maybe no one will get him.
Whatever will be will be! We've heard zero from our club confirming or denying any interest. There's been as much (more) paper talk about him coming to us as there has going to Boro and all it is is paper talk. I have no frustration on the transfer front either - the window has been open a whole week and only the big clubs and Palace have done any business. It's a long time until the end of the window so no point getting frustrated
Boro's chairman, fair play to him, he's not got much but what he has got he gives them. He's obviously very passionate and convincing as well, looking at who they've attracted over the years and considering how **** their fans are, didn't they used to average about 12,000 per game last time they were PL material?
be? Probably with a big gun from the smoke interested. **** happens We love the North East, unfortunately high profile international players are less than keen sometimes
