How on earth can you blame Dowd. If you watch the MOTD highlights, you hear the commentator say the 2nd penalty was given by the same linesman that ruled out Best's goal. And you can't fix a strike like Tiote's. That is all.
True, Dowd also indicates that Diaby was sent off for two offenses, Nolan was booked for "headlock" on the keeper ... consistancy within the match!

I didnt see the match but am watching MOTD tonight. I have family in Whitley bay so you can understand the abuse i got from my gordie cousins i.e. 4-0 and you ****ed it up etc etc What he has told me though is that the ref made a series of errors in regards to the game and that newcastle fully deserved there comeback with there commitment and full on approach. He did tell me that the game was a great spectical but even he said that the ref needs to be looked at more. Now im not saying you didnt deserve it or anything like that but my gordie cousin even said that the ref was poor. I will be watching MOTD tonight and will be able to give my own opinion on the game but as it stands it sounds like Newcastle fully deserved there point and ref should be looked at in depth as although it is mainly the gooners who are quesioning him it could be newcastles problem next time.
