Anyone else looking forward to watching the opening play-off game tonight, and even more being able to watch it while being relaxed and at ease? I can't wait, also it's been interesting not hearing from Fat Sam for quite a few days now, oh well just want to wish all the play-off contenders 'all the best' - may the best team win.
When the pressures on him, he disappears it seems! Hope Nolan is okay with his extra heavy shirt tonight!
Last season I followed Bournemouth's League One playoff matches, and in the end I was really, really sorry they didn't make it. They played out of their skins, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable series of matches. Yes, I'm actually looking forward to this mini competition as an interested neutral. I don't really have a preference for any side, even though I mentioned Cardiff the other day. If there is any team I'd fancy to stay where they are, it's West Ham, and I don't dislike them either. But that tiny bit of arrogance that Allardyce showed, at various times during the season, just shades it for me. Sorry WHU fans. No offence intended.
It was a bit cruel of Saints to tease West Ham into thinking they had a chance, then putting on a burst of speed and leaving them in our wake.
Same here, having gone up and the competition with West Ham now gone I'm able to not mind too much who succeeds. Course Blackpool and Cardiff are preferences as they're the underdogs, but overall I'm open to the winners being whoever.
I only wish they'd let us in on the plan! Still nice to go up at home which was undoubtedly the plan's main purpose, oh Saints and their teasing, long may it last!
In other play-off news, AFC Totton won 3-2 against Chesham Utd tonight to reach the Southern League Final against Oxford City (not Oxford Utd). A spot in the Conference South is the prize on Monday. If they win they will "do a Saints" and complete a double promotion. Poole Town play Gosport Borough in the Division 1 Play-off Final also on Monday.
