I will , as always , be buying this seasons home shirt .

I am also for the first time thinking about having a players name / number put on it .

Have any of you done the same ( see loads at SMS but wonder if any on here do it ) if so what are the pros & cons ?

Pros- not sure there really are any.

    Cons-1) Costs £12 extra (iirc),
2)The player will immediately leave/break his leg,
    3) 16 stone 40 year olds with 'Lallana' on their back look like absolute twats.

There aren't really pros and cons, it's just a way of showing support for a player and making the shirt a bit more collectible. Some people think it's a bit sad, I certainly don't have any problem with it. Not like you go around pretending to be that player (unless you're planning on doing that, in which case you probably shouldn't)

I've got Lambert 7 on mine, but if I were you I'd wait and see if Ramirez signs because if he signs, I would definitely get Ramirez 10 on the back.

What about 9 stone 70 year old ladies with Morgan on the back?

Be very careful. The very lovely Mrs Godders:emoticon-0115-inlov knows I have posted this question.

Godders, what you and Mrs Godders get up to in the privacy of your home is none of my concern

I had Schneiderlin on mine last season, but this season I'm going for my own, on the basis that it's 6 letters shorter, meaning getting it printed in town will be slightly cheaper <laugh>

It makes me dream of the football career I'll never have :p

A good option is the old Saint Markus. Recently i have been considering getting: Don Cortese but i doubt the club would allow it...

Why wouldn't they? You realise he's not actually a mafia boss, that's just a joke.

If I ever thought it was good idea to wear a football shirt as leisure clothing then I would have :

    Guilherme do Prado Raymundo

    21

    on the back.

It would probably cost me my monthly pension cheque so it will never happen.

I have got Morgan's name and number for the fourth year running with the added addition of Premier League patches on the sleeves this season , wife thinks its a waste of time but there you go. Have to say I wouldnt think of wearing it anywhere else than other to the game .....living just outside Portsmouth also means I cant wear it anywhere else anyway Lol

I actually find seeing hugely overweight fans, wearing replica shirts, a bit twatty, whether they have players names on them or not. I know they are just showing their support, but I still think think they look slightly idiotic. Just my opinion.

Hmm... good point. £40 odd is an expensive red or white t-shirt though.

For a fully grown adult, replica shirts are always a little bit sad. Nothing wrong with them I fancy and white one myself. I think if you're going to get a name and number then it is a bit sadder. Premier League patches are sadder still.

Better off just getting SAINTS tattooed across your stomach.
