    What an absolute ****er.

    Redknapp can't fault injury-hit R's ...
HARRY Redknapp insists QPR's current winless spell can't be blamed on a lack of effort after halting a three-game losing streak against Leeds United.

Rangers bounced back by coming from behind at Loftus Road to salvage a point in Saturday's early kick-off thanks to Jermaine Jenas’ first-half leveller.

Despite failing to return to winning ways, Redknapp couldn't fault his side's response following a frustrating few weeks on and off the pitch.

“Obviously you want to win your home games,” the R’s boss told www.qpr.co.uk.

“We came out with the momentum in the second half and had a great chance through Armand Traore but then the game seemed to fizzle out. The ball kept going out, there were injuries, and it killed the game really.”

He added: “You need to win football matches but it’s not been through a lack of effort.

“The lads who played gave everything, everybody worked hard and I couldn’t fault anybody. There was no lack of effort from anybody as there hasn’t been in any other games, they’ve been excellent. What we lack at the moment is maybe a bit of quality in certain areas.

“If you can pick the same team each week and you’re winning games, you don’t change your team. But we’ve not been in that situation.

“We’ve had injury after injury and it’s been a real problem.”

The R’s faithful were in raptures when Clint Hill’s stoppage-time volley found the net, only to see hopes of a last-gasp winner dashed by the lineman’s offside flag.

“We couldn’t see from where we were," Redknapp said. "We all thought it was the winner until we saw the linesman’s flag up.

“One minute you’re elated, the next minute you’re on the floor. That’s how it goes sometimes.”

Saturday’s stalemate closes the gap to second-placed Burnley to six points ahead of the rest of the weekend’s Championship action.

With talismanic striker Charlie Austin’s comeback from injury due before May, Redknapp remains confident Rangers’ season can yet have a happy ending.

He added: “Charlie should be back in four to six weeks, which will be a big boost for us. We’ve just got to hang in there for as long as we can.

“We’ll keep going. If it means going through the play-offs we’ve got to make sure we make that and then we’ll go from there. I still fancy us to be bang there come the end of the year.”

    hmm.....

I have kept quiet for some months on the affairs of QPR as I was not sure where they were (or were not) going this season, but if Harry really believes what he is saying, then he should never work in football again. I have seen 8 of your games this season, and have failed to be impressed at any time, even the Burnley game, which was at least entertaining from a neutral perspective.

I thought the players gave fair effort today but lacked a bit in quality.

So fair is excellent now? Do you believe they cant be faulted?

I really thought no one would be deluded enough to back him saying that. Even DT is now seeing it!

Andy, while you say that, is it really good enough, given the team/squad you have? I am far from convinced. I have little doubt that you will remain somewhere between 3rd - 6th this season, but given the record against the 'better teams' this season, lord alone knows what will happen after that.

Were 7 points off 7th with 8 games in march, we won't be in the playoffs by April unless we change manager.

It is not good enough because we have lots of possession but dont create enough chances.
We lack quality in the final third

I think the teams currently outside the top 6 are equally as inconsistent. I just can't see them making up that ground, although concede it's not impossible, as you do have perhaps 7 really awkward games to come before the season ends.

I think the players did "try" today, but that alone is not good enough. Put aside the obvious managerial and coaching failure and our recent collapse, a successful team needs team spirit, a never say die attitude, a spine that refuses to be beaton in a 50-50 ball or tackle. We dont have any of that. As an example see how often Hoillett is pushed off the ball (and hes not the only one). Talent and trying isnt enough. And its not good enough for the fans.

We have 2 points in 15, 4 out of our next 6 are away.

The Leeds game was better than some other recent games so you can imagine how bad we can be,
We've been awful all season and are among the worst for goals scored.

We are doing exactly what Leicester did this time last year. It's not good enough.

Some of us don't give up hoping or dreaming. It's about the club, not the manager.

It's not just the final third Super, the main problem we've had all season is the midfield, it's never been balanced right and we've rarely had any consistent pattern of play other than sideways. We're too static and now the opposition close us down quickly our shortcomings are easily exposed.

For all the big name 'talent' we supposedly have our creativity is virtually zero, even if Remy was in our side we'd not be scoring freely simply because the supply is so poor. If Charlie was back at Burnley or in Leicester's team he'd have got 25 by time he was injured...

I agree, but even with them we were still struggling to put a decent performance together. No doubt we are better with them than without, but its not like we were clearly winning games before. Virtually every game has been tight for us this season.

Except for the fact we've played like it all season with everyone fit.
