Just thinking about all the players we have got this summer. And a possiblilty of birchall.
Now i remember seeing that the wage budget has been slashed this year but with 8 players leaving.

now was them players on very high wages or was scally just saying that as a back up if he couldnt sign any decent players lol.

I would have thought players like Akinfenwa and McCammon moving on would have freed up quite a lot of money as they were rumoured to be on pretty big wages. I still cant quite get over our current signings after what Hess and Scally said about the wage cuts, but so far am very happy about them!

the offer of longer contracts tends to lower the yearly wages as the players no they are getting secured employment. lets be honest the 2 dover guys arent likely to be on mega bucks given where they came from. same to an extent with kedwell. welpdale and lee maybe the highest earners but remember they signed 4 year deals at posh back when they were a league 1/2 club 4 years ago and they were being offered much to resign for them so i still dont think they'll be close to mccammon or akinfenwas. bently i heard was also on a decent amount just due to the time with the club

I know that we got rid of eight players but from memory we did not get anything for them, so, the overall saving was there wages alone Yet, we have signed several players and maybe some of these players wages are not as large as the players that we got rid of. (Are you following me so far?) but we had to spend money on actual signings. What with the budget cuts etc I am still wondering where this money has come from. Some of it might have come from the Simeon Jackson sale and bonus for getting Norwich promoted, but surely, if the club are in debt to the extent that Scally would like us to believe, then why hasn't the Bank and other creditors come looking for some of the cash? It will be interesting to see what exactly the position is once the accounts are published.
