Just seen them on twitter. Howson and Ryan Bennett are in the squad for Stoke. Ayala is now back in training, but not ready. Tierney has now injured his knee. Vaughan has had a "minor" setback. Great news on Howson, Bennett and Ayala- I thought Ayala and Howson would be out longer. Really unlucky for Tierney- he's obviouslyl going through one of those spells where you hurt one thing, then another. Vaughan just has no luck at all
i'd be suprised if howson makes the bench tomorrow, i.e is he travelling with the sqaud only. Seems a bit too soon for him. Great if he does though. tieney really is having a stinker of an injury run, i'd be surprised if we see him again this season imo.
I fear Vaughan will always be very injury prone. I really thought this may be his season to shake his injuries off and prove what quality he has. Unfortunately I think we have paid money for someone who is going to spend most of their time on the sidelines. As for Tierney its a shame he is struggling at the moment as I thought he was one of our best and most consistant players over the first third of the season. On a plus note at least we seem to have enough depth to cover. I was impressed with Jackson last weekend and it gives other players the opportunity to impress.
That's what I thought too, but they're making a bit of a song and dance about it: http://lockerz.com/s/188781618
it might be better for vaughan and tierney if they just write this season off and concentrate on getting fit for the start of next season. little niggles and recurrences of old injuries can be a nightmare
I wonder with Vaughan if it's a case of he's so desperate to play football as he's always injured that he over does himself too soon and gets injured again it's a shame at least our other strikers have adapted so well!
