I wasn't really comparing the two. I was using your statement as an indication of fans' views and how I see Saints fans. You said he was Superb, and I wanted to point out that I felt he wasn't; he just worked hard. Yes they are different types of players, but that is my point: people won't say Guly plays "superb" because he doesn't appear to give the all action effort of Chappers. And, they have been playing in the same position, so my statemnet of Guly on form over chappers on form, still stands.

If it isn't clear, I mean. Who plays RM? A good chappers or a good Guly?

Neither, if I'm honest. I would like to see to De Ridder start at RM on Saturday with Chaplow and Schneiderlin in the middle. I think Chaplow is a better player than Hammond and can keep up with the play.

Where has Cork gone then? IMO he has been v.good during the run-in.

I like Cork but I think him and Schneiderlin are too similar and I don't think that they work well together. They are our best 2 CMs though by quite a way.

fair enough. Bit harsh on Deano. He is hugely underrated in our team. Though to pick up on a good point you make, Chappers was originally a Cm, and it is only since October time we have used him as a RM. Could be interesting. Don't think Chappers will be fit though.

He's good against average sides but against the better teams I think he is a weak link. Just like Butterfield.

The best player on the field yesterday was their player Bailey. He did Hammond's job and my god did he break up play well then dispatch a good pass.

Fair enough! I can see what you are getting at, I think Morgan is better though as you say. Far better range of passing.

Pretty obvious to be fair, his injury looked serious and there's only a week left! I'd have been amazed if he wasn't out for a week.
