Theyre the ****tiest ratings ever. What a ****er.

Our Hull City writer Philip Buckingham runs the rule over the players' performances in the historic Capital One Cup win over Leicester City.

Eldin Jakupovic: Continued his ever-present run in the League Cup and was barely asked to make a telling contribution by a desperately poor Leicester attack inside 90 minutes. Great save in the shoot-out. 6

Moses Odubajo: The right-back is walking six inches taller such is his confidence and often played as a winger, probing Leicester at will. Great pace to cover the counters of Leicester at the opposite end. 7

Michael Dawson: City's skipper was forced to go again in the centre of defence but there was never any sign of him flagging in a fourth start in 10 days. A brilliant block kept out Vardy in time added on. 7
Harry Maguire: No sign of rustiness in the defender's first start in over a month, showing he can be trusted if needed on Championship duty. Denied the status of matchwinner when his header appeared to cross the line. 7

Andy Robertson: The lack of cover at left-back meant another outing for City's young Scot and he was a bright figure bombing down the flank. Worked a great chance for Diame to sky over and showed terrific stamina. 8

Ryan Taylor: City's forgotten man was drafted back in and produced a much improved display from midfield. Far more comfortable than previous outings at right-back and almost opened the scoring with a header wide. 7

Tom Huddlestone: Pushed further up field by the presence of Hayden in the holding role, encouraging a greater role in City's attacking play. Couldn't produce the killer pass but gave food for thought in an advanced position. 8

Isaac Hayden: The Arsenal loan man pinned the Tigers' midfield impressively. Smart passing range and not afraid to push out of the holding role and advance down the flanks. Tired as the game went on but deserved plenty of credit. 7

Mo Diame: The break from first team action appeared to serve the midfielder well. An initially bright display, including an excellent cross dug out for Taylor to head wide. Fired a big chance over before fading. 6

Shaun Maloney: The tricky Scot was full of clever touches in the final third, with one setting up a great chance for Luer. Overhead kick into the side netting and never let Leicester nod off. A canny outlet. 6

Greg Luer: The hero of City's Capital One Cup run spurned a golden chance to bag a third goal inside the opening minutes when blocked by Wasilewski. Linked up play before he eventually hobbled off. 6

    Subs:

Chuba Akpom (for Luer, 73): 7

Abel Hernandez (for Taylor, 79): 7

David Meyler (for Diame, 109): 6

Most of the 6's should be 7's and Hayden deserves an 8.

He's a Sunderland fan. We can therefore assume his knowledge of football is tantamount to **** all.

Although Jakupovic didn't have an awful lot to do, I thought (bar a couple of dodgy kicks) he had a solid game.
