Player of the season

Nobody deserves the accolade of best player of the season as far as im concerned as nobody has been consistent enough, Siggs gets the nod for his goals scored as the best of the bunch but even he has been poor in most of his games
The worst player of the season is an easy choice, It has to be Gomis by a mile but nobody has been brilliant all season

Every award but one this season should be given to the home fans who have been consistent following such dross football. And the top award goes to the die hard away fans who have traveled thousands of miles and a shed load of money supporting the team....I doff my hat to them....

 

Glyfi hands down!!

 

Aston Villa didn't present one this year...................

 

Gylfi without question. It would be an insult to consider anyone else.

 

Its an insult to the fans that the best player has been no more consistent for most of the season than anyone else....I wouldn't give it to anyone this season...

 

Without Gylfi's goals we would be relegated along with Villa by now!!!

 

and that tells you the story that we have been crap and nobody should be worthy of the best player of the season....It's not long ago fans were pleading to take gyfi off as he was useless....thank god he scored a few but as best player for the season then no way....

 

Villa didn't award one because their players got them relegated. We (hopefully) won't be and we have to thank Siggy for that I guess. He gets it for me.

 

Oh, and some fans were pleading to get him off because he and Shelvey couldn't play together. Not his fault.

 

you dont half come out with rubbish aussie fans on here have called for him to be taken off since shelvey left......

 

But that was down to Monk picking Jonjo and Ayew together as they ended up suffocating Gylfi.

 

Well they know sod all about football. I'd put Gylfi on the pitch with a broken leg before that arsewipe.

 

Really? How do you know? You don't even go to games.

 

Inconsistent maybe while captain marvel was here but by far our best player since .Ki was awarded it last year , how the mighty fall .

 

Martin Morgan is a bit of a player isn't he ?

 

Siggy for me, for his goals and work ethic, as for the rest, well average at best................

 

There has been nobody that has covered themselves in glory this season and everyone has been poor at some stage......when Bony,Leon.Trundle won best player for the whole season the deserved it. Gyfi like i said is the best out of the bunch but even he as been very poor that some were really slagging him off and that has nothing to do with any other player at all he was just ****. I would be ashamed to collect any award if i was one of them. Its been a disaster this season and no player has shon and no player deserves the accolade of player of the season....

 

I think Siggy has probably been our best player over the full season and although on times thing haven't gone for hi he has always given us 100%, to see some of the names on there is ****ing shameful. Some of the players on there shouldn't be near our starting 11 regularly. Clearly Siggy is probably the only candidate worthy of being called that, but I wonder whether they should be holding it at all.

 

Gylfi for me. Even when struggling alongside Shelvey, he gave 110%. His form since Jan has just about kept us up.

 

Siggy will get the award we all know that but there will be many that know no player really deserve anything this season and will take the award with a pinch of salt...
