Here are the main contenders Kasper Schmeichel Wes Morgan Marcin Wasilewski Liam Moore Ritchie De Laet Danny Drinkwater Matty James Anthony Knockaert Lloyd Dyer Riyad Mahrez David Nugent Jamie Vardy
Alot of players deserve it this year but Jamie Vardy swings it for me. His pace and workrate has won us so many points this season. Whether its in goals, penalties won, or chasing down defenders and winning us cheap corner and throw ins. Complete transformation from last year and he deserve all the plaudits coming his way
Dont mind who gets it - Drinks, Vardy, De Laet et al have all been excellent. Voted for Matty James cos of the sheer graft that he gives. Also spotted on Foxestalk that we have only lost 1 league game when he has started.
Vardy for me as he has been outstanding this season, and the jump up in class and the way he has handled it has been a real credit to him. DD was my close second.
Drinkwater for me ... our best player so many times this season and is maintaining it ... Reading and QPR ... fierce determination not to let anything slip - looks like a future captain in waiting ... if there was a 'most improved' category then Vardy wins it hands down ...
Drinkwater for me. If he can continue this form into the Premier League then he'll have a shout of the national side and the sides in Europe will be dead keen. Can't believe Man United let him go so easily.
To be fair, he didn't look half as good at ours last year. I think some people even had him on their summer dead wood lists! Didn't United add a clause that if they want to sign him back it would be at a reduced rate? I may be imagining that but I seem to recall some were saying this when we signed him.
Is a toss up between Vardy and Drinkwater - Vardy looked out of his depth last season and no one would have shed tears if he left but was a revelation this season. Drinkwater however has been our fulcrum - has been in the centre of everything good we have done and would be my vote.
