According to Guardian readers it was ..... Dembele. . Indeed his ratings over the season make him the best right midfielder in the premiership. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/may/15/guardian-readers-premier-league-team Cheque books at the ready !
This is crazy. There is no way Clint doesn't deserve our player of the season, with all due respect to Moussa.
Do you know, I rather think I'm going to vote for Danny. Well, maybe for the first round that is used to select the top five. I often vote in the first round for someone who I don't expect to win but who I think deserves the accolade of being shortlisted. I'll almost certainly switch to Dempsey for the decisive vote, but this season Danny has reminded us of just how valuable his is to us. I rather think he's joined Simon Morgan on my list of my very favourite Fulham players of the last twenty years.
It's Dempsey, hands down. Dembele improved the most, but he had the most to improve. I think it will take time to appreciate just how good Dembele is (watch Yaha Toure, then Dembele, and see if you can spot the differences ... there aren't many!), but with so many goals and assists, it has to be Dempsey. Having said that, I think the team would be worse off without Murphy in the lineup.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/thefootballtacticsblog/2012/05/you_will_probably_know_that.html Another stat looking favourably on our Moussa. Here, he is 9th most accurate shooter in the PL last season. Not bad for a player with only 2 goals to his name!
