skysports states gillingham fc are one of a few clubs interested in bringing out of contract striker...jeff goulding from cheltenham fc to it's club, others being crawley, leyton orient and brentford. don't see it happening seeing as all these other sides are higher division clubs, not overly keen on him anyway being one of our strikers at the club ! THOUGHTS ???
I haven't really seen too much of him apart from the game yesterday and he seems an interesting prospect. You never know, there may be interest from higher clubs but they may see him as a free transfer to act as a squad player. Birchall is returning to fitness but I think we still need another two strikers (one of which could be Miller) to have a decent rotation through injuries/suspensions and Goulding seems to fill a mould similar to Kedwell. I'd say yes but would prefer Tomlin.
If any of you are bored around the place, speculate speculate speculate! http://www.thepfa.com/transferlist
if we are looking to bring any strikers in...which i hope we are...i think we can do much better than jeff goulding type players. as you say though gillslad, tomlin if he can stay fit would be what is needed, after what he showed he can do for us and being the stand out performer ! think i'll give the link a miss though fella !!!
Dont believe this story at all. Surely Hessenthaler will wait until the new manager is in place before he tells him who to sign!
I would rather have Tomlin, Jeff Goulding's record is not too good, he got something like 6 this season and only 10 last season, I would take a miss.
Dean Howell at Crawley is out of contract? From what I remember he absolutely dominated at our place and would be a really clever signing if we could bring him in. Sadly I do remember some ignorant nobhead in the gordon road stand shouting racist abuse at him so maybe thats dead in the water.
