"Come on banksy, I bet that RM is far from the only fullback that has been skinned by Zaha this year - quite simply, he was outpaced and I doubt Skusey would have done any better"

It wasnt RM that got skinned by Zaha it was McManus? and I never suggested playing Skuse at left back? Foster is the only one in the back 4 with any genuine pace and may have caught Zaha. (I doubt it though it was a great turn) but that wasn't my point.

Of more concern to me was the team performance for the first 20-30 mins, that didn't look like a team that was fighting tooth and nail to stay in the championship.

But before the doubters start up. a simple statement.

IF MILLEN WAS STILL IN CHARGE WE WOULD BE ADRIFT AT THE BOTTOM AND ALREADY AS GOOD AS RELEGATED.....

    No doubt there Redordead
McManus is exactly what our team has been crying out for, for 5 years.
Having him and Foster in our back 4 means a much more imposing defence.
Just a shame it took so long to get it

We are an all round central midfielder away from being a decent side IMO. Basically someone who lets us play 4-4-2. You know, a normal CM. Rare as hen's teeth in BS3

'McManus is exactly what our team has been crying out for, for 5 years' -
Not sure I'd be that confident after 1 game and a bit surprised McInnes brought in another 'leftie'. Still, McInnes knows him well so he should be decent.
McManus doesn't do Fonts any favours as he's now on his wrong foot, the back 4 is again unbalanced. Have to say though he looks miles better than Nyatanga and with more games Rickster may well turn out correct. Bloody hope so.
On a positive note I thought Woods looked better last night especially when Pitman came on. It might have been that we were 2 down and we had to get forward more, but whatever, I saw an improved performance from Woods.
Come away feeling as though we won last night and hope the players/staff/fans go into the Posh game this weekend with more confidence.

    I'll clarify that further still

IMO - If Millen was still in charge we've have around 10 points now and would be relegated. When Millen was sacked we'd played 10 league games and we had just 6 points including the win at Leicester.

Under Millen we would not have got the results against WHU, Soton (twice), Barnsley, Burnley, Millwall (twice) that we have under Del. We were also robbed against Middlesboro.

Was Pitman a part of the terrible 3 that incurred the wrath of DM on his first full day in charge of City training.

JCR was named and I`ve never been sure who the others were - any ideas.

JCR for sure, Spence maybe? Stead? Carey? Could have been Pitman, Del has certainly hinted that he doesn't do enough in training
