I dont think all fans give Taylor enough credit. You only have to look at his last 3 starts. Two games this season where we scored 4 in each game and the last game of last season where he scored. Everytime he starts he puts in high end performances but gets over looked at times. Dont get me wrong when he first joined I was surprised due to his scoring record and thought it was a poor signing but having watched him play a few times he is a player who looks like he can do something, wins balls in the air, can keep the ball and can create space for a fellow striker which works if played Baldock. As for Pitman there were too many times when he was played wide or deep and it didnt work for him under Millen, He was given games under DM last season but didnt put in enough performances to keep his place where with Stead even when he wasnt scoring goals he could walk off the pitch knowing he gave everything. Pitman is at the end of the day is very talented player who is lazy. He will give you 5 minutes of brilliant play and 85 minutes and standing around. A little like Robinho at Real Madrid where stats showed the keeper would travel further with the ball in each game than Robinho would. Why did he turn Premier league football down to play for us? Maybe location of staying in the Southh West is the key and why he hasnt been that keen to move to Burnley as at the time he only got in to the first team as Maynard just happened to get injured about the same time he joined which shows that he will put family and the location over playing for a bigger club and money.
