Gives us a winnable home game in hand as well mate, which could be a nice little joker for us in a few weeks time.

Tough, tough game next week, but nothing for us to fear in anyone at the minute.

    Nice feeling that.

MON set us up well against the Gooners, so I have no doubt he will have a game plan with the new influx in mind.
I really haven't been this confident going into a season since Reidy.

This is where a CB like Dawson could be the masterstroke.

He's akin to Woodgate in his youth, reads the game immaculately, times is headers and tackles, so with him you can soak up pressure, and hit fast on the counter, MON's favourite.

Imagine a fast break away with Sess on the ball, AJ one side and McLean the other, how do you deal with that if your short of numbers?

It's a mouthwatering prospect, but the best thing about it is that we don't HAVE to play counter attack, as all 3 of those mentioned can hold and look after the ball as well (McLean less so, but it'll come).

Can't wait to get everyone bedded in.

The biggest compliment I could give Dawson is he reminds me of Bruce in his pomp.
A no nonsense defender who wasn't afraid to put himself in where the boots were flying.
I do concede he isn't the best with his feet passing wise but he does know when to put his foot through the ball.

My mouth does water at the possibilities of us on the break.
