Don't know how many of you stray on to the Pink un Web site; not usually a good move after a disappointing result. I thought that this is the most insightful post that I have seen on our current form, so am posting the link. http://services.pinkun.com/forums/pinkun/cs/forums/2846422/ShowPost.aspx Agree with every word.
Some good points I don't think the situation is bleak but there is a very minor concern when the teams below us start gaining points. Having Holt back is a major positive but we still need to invest in some forwards
Sensible but somewhat hyperbolic, theres no way we have the "worst squad in the league" and given the current quality of the lower half of this league it houghton would certainly not have "performed a miracle". I agree with the general point but i think its rather sensationalistic.
Isn't this all perception stuff. We don't have the "worst (or one of the worst) squads in the league", we have one of the lowest profile squads in the league. Our lazy pundit friends from MoTD and others, who do minimum research or analysis to back up their views, generate a perception that we have a poor squad because the players come from league 1 or the championship and therefore they know nothing about them. Yesterday's toon game was a good example: Newcastle have a similar strength squad to Norwich, but their players are higher profile.
The transfer window is open. Perhaps we can get this contributor to come to us. A very reasoned and factual article from someone who doesn't throw the towel in after a bad run.
Are you talking about poaching/head hunting, Redruth? I suppose we could always go down the tried (and tested?) Rodent route - and loan him for a month's trial
