Scrap that, I think I found the source.

Bollocks. Come on Bayern or Madrid.

Given half Chelsea's team will be out of the final it is going to be very hard for them to win it... especially if they play Bayern Munich at home! It will be tough and they are obviously in better form than Barca.

If Spurs finish fourth, then I will be a bit undecisive tbh.
It would be hilarious if they really manage to get to fourth place after slipping to fifth (after being in the top 3 for the majority of the season) and yet they would miss out on CL :D

I just hope that Real take care of business and we shouldn't worry.

What happens if Chelsea finish 4th in the league?
Will we still have to go qualifying round?

No, but Liverpool had to start the qualifying round from the very, very first round.
That's when all these unknown Eastern European teams play.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liverpool_F.C._2005–06_UEFA_Champions_League_qualification

Why can't they handle this the same way like in 05?

surely your not that serious? :)

because for me 4th place deserves CL footy after a rigourous 38 game season,be it us or you..only to find that it has been taken by Chelsea?

however this is not Chelsea's fault..the winners should defend their trophy...instead of it effecting a club who has nothing to do with the matter <ok>

another balls up by FIFA,UEFA or whoever...AGAIN!

Liverpool winning and finishing so low in the League is what prompted the rule change in the first place.

You will still need to qualify even if Chelsea are forth! Blame Liverpool for being the first team to win it yet finish outside a qualifying place.
