I thought for a bit of fun we should have a thread where the idea is to make 1 choice of who you think i our next manager will be, just put one name in your reply to the thread. The thread will close when the new manager is announced by our Huw, so lets see who amongst us is thinking along the same lines as our Huw. I will go for Laudrup. Cheers Mabon
I wouldn't mind chris hughton, but seems norwich may nab him. Laudrup seems a pretty good candidate. probally have an unknown name, but sometimes I do like suprises!
Laudrup! purely on the fact that he is (1) out of work, so cheap for Jenkins, (2) has experience as a manager, (3) plays total football!..................
Bergkamp if it 's even remotely possible , barring that , I'd give Desailly a chance before someone else does . What's the worst that can happen , Championship football with a ton of money as new financial rules start to take over . The best is another great manager taking the club to a new level & teams waving more money to buy him .
It would be better to start a poll. Then we could each vote and we can see how many for each candidate. You'll have to word it correctly though. Either who do we want as manager or who do we think we'll get. Make sure the question is clear. I don't have time - back to work.
As im trying to think outside the box because Huws bound to pick someone we have`nt guessed i go for some way out there one ! Kevin Keegan lol better get back in the box prob pick a foreinger though ?
Mahon, good idea to have a bit of fun mate so can I go for Pep Guardiola? Realistic choice for me is Poyet. Ps, don't take notice of Cardiff fan trying to change your idea.
Rightly so , I think we're looking for the man who can manage successfully ie be the right personality and be able to improve an already powerful style of play and belief that the club have. Wouldn't it be great to see Laudrup coming in . But all the names currently linked to us are strong. A strong British connection to players is needed and when you study it we have that through Henderson and the scouting appointments we've made. You've also got the priceless knowledge of Alan Curtis who'll stay on at the club to help with the squad and an incoming management team
As I write, Laudrup is emerging as bookies favourite pretty much across the board. Olly and Jones clinging on to second and third favourites respectively but Bergkamp and Poyet are both drifting unfortunately. Wouldn't mind either of those if it's not to be Laudrup. Wonder if Huw has got a left field candidate up his sleeve?
