That is step one, now the official needs to be re-educated to make sure that this does not happen again.
Exactly right - that's the part that really annoys, but there is absolutely nothing that can be done about it. I wonder how one goes about suggesting a change in the laws to stop this from happening again - and is there any way of collating similar instances?
A similar kind of justice to those wrongly convicted, incarcerated and later released. Better late than never I suppose...
I still think we should have been 3/4 up after 20mins, then it would not have mattered. Plus Cassetti/Hoban/another should have bundled the ball in from a yard out. We fell on our sword a little, but i dont doubt the second half would have been much more of a contest with 11v11
Matej Vydra had a three match ban for being sent of at the first offence. What would happen if the expulsion was seen as correct? Would the ban be made bigger?
Maybe by one match..I agree its good to have him back for a home game we are expected to win and 2 tricky games after that where we will need the best players fit and on form.
I seem to remember us appealling a John Eustace red card and losing - from memory the ban went from three matches to five.
Justice would only take place if the ref would now be placed in viallge stocks on market day. However, I'm glad MV is available given his scoring record. We need to outscore opposition until we can tighten our defence up.
The ban would have been increased only if the appeal was seen by the FA as "frivolous". The potential increase was introduced to prevent or reduce the number of appeals which were being made to the FA on the principle of "we might as well appeal, we have nothing to lose, we might get a ban overturned".
