This was reported at the time - not sure why it's being reported again.

Presume this was a sweetener by AA to ensure Moribund forced Brady/Geraghty to bend to AA's will.

He should ask for a refund.

Politics aside - who knows Allam as the Pharaoh of Hull?

I have never heard that phrase before this article...

As for the donation - well, unless we get some public appetite for state funding of Political parties, then this is the way that parties will make their money. Somewhat ironic that that £100k will be used to fund a Labour election campaign, and will probably help the Local Labour party consolidate its hold on the council.

    Whoever said politics made sense...

Strange to talk about Miliband's visit now, though - considering the game he came to was City 2-2 Ipswich in the Championship in 2012...

I read it that they'd dug it up because Allam has just made another donation?

He gave £110,000 in June 2014 on top of his £100,000 when Miliband came to watch us.

I’m sure that he said that he was going to donate a similar amount to the Tory party too when this was revealed – not sure if this happened.

*Edit* Article says he gave 15k to the Tory party

I know, that's what I find weird. Another thing I find weird is that he donated money to the Tories as well.

Private individual with confused politics makes donation to party coffers.

Non story? Certainly not football related.

    He doesn't have confused politics.

He is just doing what wealthy and powerful men always do......... buy influence.

    Aye, probably.

More for his own business matters than anything to do with the football club. That was just a convenient way to sex it up, otherwise it was a pretty dull piece.

Not as if it is some sort of crime.

Ultimately, I couldn't care less and not even sure why I got involved!

    30 minutes to kick-off.
