Decent first game - at home and we avoided the relegated and promoted sides which is good. But as a general start, it is quite tough. Couple of away trips to Charlton and Blackburn shouldn't be easy. Also Boxing day at Hull.
We need to give Peterborough a right good hiding on the first day and go in to Charlton and Blackburn away with some confidence. Thankfully Nigel likes to start well. 2-0 against MK Dons. 2-1 against Swansea. 3-0 against Palace.
Peterborough cant defend to save their lifes either so we should be able to bang in a few, just need to stay solid at the back
I can only see us getting between 4-6 points in those first 3 games. Blackburn and Wolves away at the start of the season isn't going to do our confidence any good.
@konch3 Great start to the season! Home game can't ask for nomore! Bring it on now #LCFC @10_kingy Peterborough at home..bring on this season #lcfc
2nd game we off to the Valley then to play Super Chris Powell and THAT man. please log in to view this image
Posh at home is, potentially, a decent opener ... they should sell out their full allocation for such a local trip and if we make a few more signings to wet the appetite then we might be close to a 30k crowd ... Hope our friends in Hull have a good Xmas because I have a premonition that they will not enjoy Boxing day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OOOOUUUUCCCHHHHHH..!!! Not a nice start at all apart from maybe Peterboro on the first day. You had better get 3 points from that as i dont see where your next point will come from. Looking forward to a very festive and Bag full of points from TWS and U thanks. Good luck as your team shall need it.
Thanks for visiting Tickler; and for expressing your concerns about the tough start facing your second favourite team in the division .. I think this is a very tough league and it will be a real slog ... but whilst I share your concerns on some testing trips away in the opening spell, the first 6 home games all appear to be very winnable ...
18 pts by the end of september ! LCFC complete 1st 2012/13 double on 26/12/12 ! Irononically the winning goal for us is an own goal scored by the Egyptian replacement for James Chester(Brought by Nige for £3.5 mil) going by the name of Chris Mussampa !!
Nice to get Blackburn away 3rd, always think it'll be good to get the big relegated sides early. However, Charlton 2nd could be the reverse.
