We were well beaten by a much better side
But all this moaning really does seem so wide,
Of the mark, when you consider just who and where
We played, and with key players missing out there

We can play better than that, it´s a fact
But here the odds were too heavily stacked,
Just quite why Wes and Pilkington too
Were left out, you´d need to have C. Hughton´s view

I´m not quite sure what some of you expect
Playing away at one of this league´s elect,
Money will always raise its ugly head
But our whole team would barely pay for one ´red´

They´ve hit some form while ours is AWOL
So such a match is bound to take its toll,
We had to play at our absolute peak
While everything they tried went right up the creek

    That didn´t happen yesterday, alas
And some of their goals were absolute class,
Yes, we contributed to our downfall
But we´re not the first, at this port of call

These aren´t the games that will ensure our place
In those that matter we´ve been no disgrace,
I for one hope that we soon will find form
To win those we have to, to keep in the warm. OTBC

    Have a good week all,

    Yours

Hi RBF and very well put!

I feel like a moaning old minnie, moaning about moaning old minnies, as we agreed quite recently, we've been spoilt over the past 3 or 4 years, not only that, but do you know what? If the worst happened and we dropped through the trapdoor to the Championship, the World would carry on spinning, life would carry on with nary a hitch, so let's settle down and stop trying to compete with the Pink'un lot!

Don't know what you guys are moaning at. We've had some good form at home lately and have most of our players back fit, plus the addition of Sturridge. You have some good player and seem to have hot and cold periods. Doubt you will go down and hope you don't.

and boy were we cold yesterday <ok>

Taking nothing away from Liverpool though, they were very good on the day, perhaps helped a little by our inability to contain. Either way, we got what we deserved but hopefully things will turn around for us again soon.

Didn't you have a good run shortly after losing to us earlier in the season?

It was the last pasting you gave us that was the catalyst for that run, here's hoping <ok>

Yes 10 games unbeaten! People seem to have forgotten about that!

Exactly what I was thinking today - all we really need is 3 or 4 more wins plus a couple of draws to stay up. Hopefully, we'll be above 30 points before the beginning of March!! <ok>
