I just wanted to ask you one thing. Exactly how excited are you that Barmby's the new chief!? I'm absolutely buzzing about it! Bit of a risk but the lad knows the game very, very well and he's popular with the players. Has the club at the front of his mind as opposed to his wallet and I hope everything goes well for him. Top bloke.
Given the circumstances we're in Barmby appears to be a sensible appointment. He knows the team, has their respect and has good knowledge on how the game works. At least if it's only temporary at the moment we can see how things go, but Barmby is someone that 99% of city fans can get behind.
I'm right behind Nicky but the main worry is his lack of experience as a manager, until somebody has done it then you don't know really if they can cut it. At least this season we are safe most likely so there isn't that pressure on him but am thinking the play-offs are probably beyond reach now whereas with Pearson we might have squeaked them maybe. I hope we don't take Pearson back when he gets fired at the end of the year anyway, despite his great work for us.
spot on ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ this. Barmby no longer needs the money as he is a multi - millionaire from his playing days previously. Unlike our last manager. Barmby has the respect of the entire playing staff WHICH IS MOST IMPORTANT. Barmby has one of the best squads Talent wise to take control of (thanks at least to NP for that) Barmby has many contacts at the top level of the game and will have taken note of how Np worked. Barmby is the obvious choice. This could well be an ACT OF GENIUS by the club. Well done Allams and Adam P. A local lad who is driven with ambition to do well for Hull City AFC and not his wallet. Yes, the Tiger Nation has many many reasons to be buzzing now. Roll On Derby and back to winning ways. UTT Barmby Army Barmby Army
Barmby's son is still @ Man U I believe so he will no doubt be in contact there quite a lot and seeing their young talent for himself
Maybe in time we will get the young Barmby on loan, father and son at the club at the same time. Let's hope so as that will mean NB has succeeded as a manager.
I'm ecstatic. Well not quite, but I'm feeling relatively positive. A. He's not Nigel Pearson. B. Everybody's got an easy out if it all goes wrong. C. Whilst I feel some of his actions were to the detriment of the club, I've no doubt he has the club at heart. Let's see how it goes.
Not being funny or anything, but not that excited. Even though I respect him very much, he has no experience as a manager, therefore he is a good caretaker manager, but not a good permanant manager.
I wouldn't have given NB the job. I don't think he will do any good , stinks of a cheap option to me....BUT I will behind him 100% .. Come on u ull .
I'm not his biggest fan, and I'd rather we'd have gone with somebody else, but such is life. As I said, I'm feeling relatively positive based on my thoughts above.
Go on then, nail your colours to the post......Who would you like to see IF all doesn't work out for Nick? And whilst you're on, at what point would you say it's time for Nick to move aside? Sensible and honest answers appreciated.
It's a great appointment. NP was a crap manager. He had the team in poor form playing absolutely crap defense. He brought in only crap players and incredibly boring football. Any team is better off without an absolutely horrible manager like NP. BARMBY ARMY! Wooooooo!!!!!!!
