We've discussed all the various crap jobs but what job has given you the most in the way of perks. I've been reading the Danny Baker autobiographies and his Dad used to get loads of random stuff from working on the Docks. His old man never trusted anyone who wasn't on the take or prepared to receive a small sum to look the other way. Something tells me you lot have got stories to tell of being in the right place and the right time to catch whatever it was that accidentally fell off the back of a lorry.
Used to work at head office of DWP (Scottish office) and used to get free lunches, free travel etc. Most of the food came from M&S. Nae wonder poor ****s don't get enough benefits to live on.
Worked in customs in Oz and knocked everycunts stuff that was moving to Oz. Some laugh so it wis. Don’t tell anyone tho.
Anything that is not nailed down and easily transportable is fair game from any company. If they don't want it stolen then they shouldn't leave it lying around.
My Dad worked in the King George docks in Glasgow for years. I used to get bladders (footballs) all the time as I recall. They were of Pakistani origin and not designed to be used in the concrete jungle of Glasgow streets so didn't last long. He also used to bring home decanted whisky all the time. A simple scam as it turns out, if any whisky bottles were broken all you needed was the broken bottle as evidence, I guess a lot of bottles got broken accidentally. He used to talk about one guy called "the Genie", when i asked why he was called "the Genie" my Dad said it was because every time someone opened a bottle he appeared.
Worked in a mortuary when I was 62. Pretty lifeless to be honest, a dead end job really. Not for every BODY. I'm here all week.
