this very true and obvious, BUT it also leaves you open to odd goal that brings you down. Take 6 games you draw them all 0-0 = 6 points its better to lose 2 draw 2 win 2 even better to lose 3 and win 3, IS it better to score 1 or 2 goals or 3 first? , SCORE 1 THEY NEED 2 SCORE 2 they need 3 score 3 they need 4 WE N E E D A GOALSCORER
Hi Saints fan here, going to the game tomorrow and looking forward to it as I have always wanted to see what Nyatanga and Elliot are like. I would just say to you all not to get too disheartened there is very little difference between the best and worst teams in this division, as you showed when your new manager came in. You have the squad you just need a confidence boost and a couple of January additions. Saints form dipped earlier this month when we had a few injuries and West Ham are feeling the pinch with suspensions and injuries. Good luck I think you may just survive as I cannot see Coventry staying up and I also feel Doncaster and Peterborough are more vulnerable and unable to make many new additions.
The dressing room is where teams are formed into winners. Like Redprint I have played a bit and I agree 100% with the 'bad apple' theory. Sir Gary had the dressing room eating from his hand in our first season in the CCC. Only Orr (and possibly Basso) has gone on to play at a higher level. If you don't want to play for Bristol City, GET STUFFED. I hear what peaple are saying about him being our best striker, but the 'bad apple' factor is stronger than his positives. Derek needs to shape the team of the future - and it won't include NM so drop him. As for elliott, I would rather keep him than, say, James, who we should never have signed in the first place!
