Correct me if I'm wrong, Percy or otherwise, but I don't recall him ever saying that his wages were good for the club? All he ever said, to my recollection, was that as long as Bullard is at the club, he should be playing as he is probably the best player we've ever had. And let's face it, he was right. That doesn't mean that he believes Bullard is right to have turned up to training drunk, but he wasn't like that from the start so something must have gone wrong somewhere.
