I could be all alone on this one, but is anyone else sick of the whole Manchester City saga now?

Media attention such as this for the next 5 months? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35462919

    ...and this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35467814 NO THANKS!

Pellegrini is still in his job and will be for the next few months.
All the while the media are 'tashing' all over themselves at the prospect of Guardiola turning-up.

    Whoopee-shiite!

Barcelona, Bayern Munich & Manchester City.
Just ask yourself, how many Managers could FAIL with having a list of clubs like that?

I'm not doubting Guardiola's talent, but anyone can see that his transition into football management was made much easier by the fact he's started at the very top, and stayed there in terms of backing and resources.

Moreover, I find the total lack of class (and respect) that Man City have shown their current Manager as a dangerous precedent.

It's football I know, but this would never be allowed in the real world.
Constructive dismissal? I don't know, the whole thing stinks for me.

Imagine being in a top-job yourself. You are successful and continue to be.

You employer announces that in 5/6 months time you will be replaced, no matter how well (or badly) you perform?

    Wouldn't sit well with me.

    How do you see it?

I have no doubt he is a good manager. He has done well. However I'd like to see some of these manager challenge themselves. Come on Bayern and Barca? With the players available at the time? He moved from Barca who had a golden generation to Germany's very own golden generation. Some will say Barca always have the Madrid challenge and they do but he had Messi, Xavi, Puyol, Pique, Iniesta etc. He did extremely well with them but so he should.

Now its Man City with all their money when the league is wide open for the taking. The cynic would say he has timed this to perfection. I hope at some stage he has to face more of a challenge. What is his next job? Juventus?

I mean Mourinho at least won the CL with Porto with a team he put together. I still think he should feel like he has a point to prove too and could take on a challenge. He is just sat waiting for Van Gaal to fail instead.

I suppose it has to be expected, you go where you get the most money, the most prestigious and the most chance of victory. We'd all do the same in our jobs. However I do think it will somewhat taint any hope he has of being considered the best ever.

It's a good point about where Mourinho started, at least he worked his way into the top-level jobs.

Guardiola has signed a 3-year deal and you can bet he won't stay a minute longer.

AC Milan or Juventus for him to conquer Italy before his retirement!

Should get him at Newcastle. Then we could see if he matches up to Pardew or not?

    Surely you jest, Sir?

No Manager has ever signed a player of such quality as Gabriel Obertan.

The media jizzed off to klopp. Look at his record. It's no better than Brendan rodgers. Yes he has the same players..... And that's my point. He has made them no better or worse. Pep has gone to barca and Munich where they had arguably the best squads in the world at that time. I know you have to manage them but if you give me cream I make a nice cream cake. Give me **** and i will put in the toilet or a poop bag. Point being is these managers are just a focul point for the media and fans to either attack or **** over.

Guardiola wouldn't have a prayer at a club where he had to make do with what he had.

I have no doubt Klopp will improve Liverpool over time, but he was at Dortmund for something like EIGHT years!

Managers simply do not get that amount of time anymore (except Karl at MK Dons)

Talk about arrigance !, Pel must be going mad. It is not like the Chelsea situation. In the summer it will be £Man city this and that how they will dominate the world over the next 5 years etc, while us poor buggers SAFC and NUFC battle it out in the championship, as we have been run like paupers/amatures , makes me frigging scream.
